Art Walk
Featuring work of Alex Galford. Alex hates words, they always seem to trip over themselves. So he paints instead — stuff that probably means something, though he’s still figuring out what. Most days it’s just color, smoke, and a gut feeling that maybe he’s onto something real.
No plan. No speech. Just paint, a little chaos, and a shot of whatever honesty he’s got left.
For transparency, Alex thanks AI for writing his artist bio, the future is rad.

Good Morning Valentine
Not one to stay put for long, prolific Ohio songwriter Joey Beltram has earned fans and friends through repeated solo motorcycle tours across the states. His songs describe the mix of exhilaration and longing that accompany these nomadic departures. Beltram’s long-running project Goodmorning Valentine is eclectic Americana. His music embraces the upbeat rhythms of Motown and ’60s rock & pop, while paying tribute to the timeless songcraft that extends from Cole Porter to Johnny Cash, and to the world-weary musings of later decades’ artists like Jeff Tweedy and Tom Waits. Beltram’s unforgettable melodies and powerful, plaintive vocals carry spare sparse lyrics against a sophisticated chamber-pop backdrop. Of Goodmorning Valentine, The Big Takeover said, “The sense of wide-open space meeting the expanse of time that is at the heart of American roots music pervades, rich and dewy.” Beltram’s succinct and tuneful vignettes raise a toast to our collective heartache, mourn the turn of seasons and love’s unraveling, and rejoice in music’s redemptive promise. ”Less-is-more lyrical tales of revelation and resignation . . . this is music for late nights in the dark, holding on to the one you love.” —AMERICANA UK

Two Drifters (Kathryn Claire & Margot Merah) with openers Janet and Allison Anders
Two Drifters - Kathryn Claire & Margot Merah
A Cross-Continental Collaboration from the heart
In a world where folk music so often evokes roots and place, Two Drifters is a rare project that proves home can be a feeling, not a location. This cross-cultural, cross-continental collaboration between Portland-based Kathryn Claire and Amsterdam’s Margot Merah is as unexpected as it is organic. Their story begins, fittingly, in a pub in Amsterdam—one of those magical spots where tunes and fate converge. From that first meeting in 2013, the musical bond was immediate, and it has since blossomed into a heartfelt collaboration that spans oceans and traditions.
Their latest album, Come Close, Come In, is a warm invitation to listeners to do just that—to lean in and feel the richness of their original songwriting, the depth of their musicality, and the rare magic of two voices entwined in breathtaking harmony. The record blends the traditional with the new, the old-world with the Pacific Northwest, creating something deeply connective and refreshingly authentic.
Kathryn Claire’s violin playing rooted in her classical and traditional music background along with her poetic lyricism merge seamlessly with Merah’s storytelling sensibility and rhythmic guitar playing. Whether playing fiddle, ukulele, bodhrán, or simply letting their voices tell their stories, these multi-instrumentalists craft songs that are honest and tender. There’s strength in their subtlety, and a shared intuition that can only come from a love of the craft and of each other’s artistry.
Having toured across the US, Europe, and Japan, Two Drifters are proof that music really can bridge any distance. Their partnership is a reminder that sometimes, drifting leads you exactly where you’re meant to be.
